Spool Storage

This box is made to hang on a wall with removable spindle shelves for spool storage. The 'cover' opens from the right and is intended to have a picture (stitched or otherwise) inserted into the frame. The spindles are offset so you can see your thread color without having to remove the shelf. As always, we'd love to hear from you in you're interested in a special spool storage unit for yourself.
This is another shelf configuration. You can store the regular spools on the thin pegs and mini spools on the larger pegs. Mini's can be stacked 3 high to equal the regular spool height.

You've asked for it and now it's here!!

Thanks to Lauren of Sassy's Fabrics for the linen, Vikki Clayton for the silks and Stepanie of Nouveau Encore for the custom design. Of course without Larry creating the cakset for me, this would not be gracing my livingroom! This is made of a lovely dark cherry finished wood and sports gold knob feet.

The top opening is 4x6".
The lid is hinged and the front and back panels are identical. The openings are 2x6"

The end panels are also identical and the openings measure 2x4"

The design is available for sale on Stepanie's website (http://www.nouveauencore.com/). If, however, this is just not your style, Quaker motifs would work really well for all the openings.
Hope you like it!! If you're interested in owning a mini casket, please email us.

Decorated Hornbook

For my wife, she already had the chart picked out that she wanted to mount to the front of the hornbook so the size I made was pre-determined. Of course you can go smaller or larger depending upon what you want to mount on yours.

HORN BOOKS

My wife asked me to make her a hornbook (I didn't even know what it was!). This is the hornbook without any stitched ornamentation. As with all things, I'm finding that the final size is determined by the person wanting one. So email me with questions and I'll be happy to see about creating one for you.
